Working Border Collie Jack, who lost his right back leg in an serious accident last year, has won the Farm Dog of the Year award, run by the National Farmers Union (NFU). Despite having to have the leg amputated, Jack soon “bounced back to his hard-working, irreplacable best” said the judges, on owners Ian and Ruth Rees’ farm in Powys.
Says Ruth proudly: “We are over the moon that Jack has won the NFU Farm Dog of the Year Award – he is so loyal and trustworthy and is always eager to please, despite only having three legs.”
