It’s not too late for walkers and their dogs to take part in Sunday’s Chilterns 3 Peaks challenge! Although online registration has now closed you can still register on the day – Sunday 18 September – and choose from either a 5-mile, 9-mile or 18-mile route along the beautiful Chilterns Ridgeway in Buckinghamshire. Last year more than 1,000 walkers and hundreds of dogs walked the chalk, raising £97,000 for Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care.
The scenic 5-mile route from Princes Risborough to Wendover takes in two peaks, Whiteleaf Cross & Coombe Hill, while the longest route adds Ivinghoe Beacon, too. If you plan to tackle the 18-mile route, you need to arrive at Princes Risborough School between 9.30am and 10.30am to register and set off. Five and 9-mile walkers must arrive to register between 10am and 11am. Don’t be late as the marshalls won’t permit you to start after the allocated time.
On-the-day registration costs £20 per adult and £10 per child and you’ll receive a Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge T-shirt when you register. For more details of the walk and routes see www.c3peaks.com
