Training tips?

Hi all,
Can anyone offer any helpful training tips that may help other readers? Perhaps you've found a solution to solving recall problems, house-training issues or unwanted behaviours? Let us know, and you advice may be featured in Dogs Monthly!

House training- Urine off is fab (expensive but so worth it). So is dancing around like a nutcase when she pees in the garden.

Recall- Whistle and ham.

tip for nervous outside dogs.take them home whilst they are having fun.don't prolong it just because it is fun as it gives the dogs a chance to get scared.its better to leave after 5 mins on a high than after 20 mins fun but a scared ending-the scared ending cancels out any fun memory. Always leave them wanting more.

another one which worked when cass would only walk 50 yards up the road was running the 50 yards, play tug for 20seconds run home take lead off then stick it back on and repeat over and over and over. i managed once to give cass a good 30 mins of this play walk which she loved, she got her pees and went home happy.whereas if i'd let her just do her 50yards and pee and home she'd have been miserable and scared and i would have been grumphy and discouraged.you do look like a total looney though...nothing new there then

I'm pretty fond of Wee Away for stains, it gets rid of the smell entirely and makes sure dogs and cats don't go again in the same spot. It was on sale at pets at home and I bought three bottles for my puppies!
