We booked a week in a cottage which was a 16th Century watermill conversion, set in a small village 7 miles away from Cardigan bay. I found our cottage on the website westwalesholidaycottages.co.uk our cottage was booked from 20th June to 27th June and cost £300.

as you can see, although the cottage looked tiny, in was actually quite roomy inside.. twin bedroom upstairs and a double bedroom downstairs and 2 pets allowed

The first place we visited was 'St Davids' it was about 30 minute drive from our cottage, and it had a beach called 'Whitesands' beach, dogs arent allowed on this main part of the beach see below:

However you can see a ridge here that you can walk along and get a nice view.. take some photos..

but if you walk left off the ridge the beach behind Dave on the photo above is where you can take the dogs and it was wonderful, no one else was down there we had the beach to ourselves! And it was great as there were caves to explore and strange types of rocks and slate all different colours too. The dogs had fun running around and getting their feet wet!

We walked into St Davids after fun on the beach, had a walk around the cathedral and also had some lunch in the beer garden of one of the pubs, they served excellent Scampi & Chips, and were very dog friendly, even offering to bring the dogs a water bowl as it was around 28 degrees that day!

We then travelled onto a little place called Abereiddy.. which was rather difficult to find as you had to guess where to turn off the main road by the map as there certainly werent any road signs! Thankfully we found it... and what a place it was! There was a pub, carpark, icecream van.. small pebbley beach.. but you need to walk past all that and up the hill to the right.. and then you will find the 'Blue Lagoon'

Then after looking at the blue lagoon, if you carry on walking along the cliffs you see views like this..

so we walked down to the beach coves and the doggys had a swim..

it was rather a nice beach!
anyways.. I got waay more to show you.. but will type that up probably tomorrow.. but I strongly recommend you visit Pembrokshire if you were wondering where to take you dogs on holiday with you as there are so many nice beaches and walks!
